In a surprise inspection, Shri Manish Sisodia terminated a manager with immediate effect from the labour commissioner office in North West District Head Quarter in New Delhi.
The manager was found guilty of irregularities in registration of poor construction workers.
In the same office, many construction workers were in the long queue, unnecessary delay and were feeling tremendous difficulties in getting registered in the labour office while in the same Laborer’s office, dubious people were getting registered without any physical presence and proper verification.
Shri Manish Sisodia found manager incompetent and categorically refuted his claim of clerical mistakes and innocence.
Instead of live images, past photographs were uploaded in the system for the registration of construction workers.
He also found negligence in uploading the woman’s photograph instead of the actual man applicant’s photograph.
There were numerous complaints about the irregularities and the corrupt practices in the labour commissioner office.
The Deputy CM directed the officials to register new construction workers and renewals of registration of same on time and as per the rule so that deserving poor construction workers will be able to get benefits of many welfare schemes run by the AAP government in New Delhi.
