Farmers will join 15 January meeting and then after decide next course of action – Krantikari Kisan Union chief Darshan Pal

The agitating farmers are not in mood to return back to their abode until the government repeals the three farm laws. The farmers also want a firm resolution from the central government to devise a mechanism and procedure to bring a law for providing legal guarantee on MSP .

Farmers have welcomed the supreme court order of interim stay on the implementation of Farm laws but not agree with the composition of committee .

In a statement , Krantikari Kisan Union chief Darshan Pal said that farmer leaders are going to join government representatives on the negotiation table and will monitor governments behaviour.

He further welcomed the resignation of Bhupinder Singh Mann, one of the four members of the review committee set up by the supreme court  to begin a dialogue with the farmers and the government. The course of agitation will be decided after the 15 January meeting with Governments representatives.

It may be noted that till now the Narendra Modi government has failed to calm down farmers agitation as farmers are not ready to accept anything other than repeal of three farm laws and a firm assurance for the legal guarantee on Minimum Support Price.
